Rewind - May 15th: One of my girlfriends excitedly recommended the Bioluminescent Kayaking Tour when I booked the trip to PR.
She described the experience perfectly: A nice sweaty workout, focusing on not capsizing the kayak by communicating with your partner, chugging along through breathtaking mangroves, and floating peacefully in the bio bay.  The images from Google are hilariously exaggerated, but I had fair warning beforehand so I wasn’t aghast with shock.
It was a subtle glow - TOO subtle to pick up on video, but amazing nonetheless.
See footage in the video recap; specific timestamp is 2:25.
I’m certain the only reason I didn’t cause the kayak to capsize was because of my rowing experience in college. I was able to hinge on that knowledge to help steer and brake - and if you know ‘clumsy me’ at all, I’d otherwise panic and end up underwater. Praise the plankton lords.
